It seems a bit precious to keep a gallery of Flea art. The main reason for doing it is insurance against a hard-drive crash at home. But I also think it a good idea to keep track of what I have been up to stylin'-wise.

That is something close to the original banner above. The button is modelled on the first Flea button ever, a gift from
***Dave.
Something close to the original banner. The blog title over at BlogSpot started with a "the"... a particle of speech which is faithful to William Blake painting after which the blog is named but which is confusing to alphabetize. This unused goth flea-banner was the last echo of the the.
The gothic flavour of that unused banner emerged as the first flea-banner at ghostofaflea.com following the Dean Esmay blog exodus to MT.

Two of the first slogans make their appearance around this time.
Pre-Raphaelite Week at the Flea was the second dedicated week in the new magazine format (after Jane Seymour week). This was the first time the Flea got a make-over for a special event.

The next banner down was intended for an all fiction week which was pre-empted by the black-out.
The Flea Signal is a reader favourite judging by mail and comments. It is my favourite too and I like to keep it in action for individual entry archives.
Home of the fighting Quaker!
Gone with the Flea Week was meant to mark a transition into a staggered blogging schedule for start of term. That did not last... so I decided not to use the banner.
This one was for Talk Like a Pirate Day 2003.
Breakfast at the Flea Week was a shameless excuse to show pictures of Audrey Hepburn for a few days.

The Tiffany window button got me thinking about the Bleat-ish possibilities of PhotoShop for the Flea.
No particular reason... I just wanted a Bond-themed background. The button above never made it to the site.
Decor for Underground Week at the Flea was straight-forward to produce as I could rely on the Underground's famous roundel, map and New Johnston font.
More Kylie-buttons and a Flea-first animated Cylon .gif.
A variety of Flea banners. Blade Runner and Alien are always useful. The Alpha/fish logo is an unused banner for the Christmas holiday season of 2003. I decided putting the word "ghost" in that context might be taken the wrong way... I opted for an angel instead. Finally, Kylie ushers in the New Year of 2004.
Some Canadian content. The RCMP are Canadian icons. The men who stormed Juno Beach are Canadian heroes.
New Harry Potter and Batman films inspired some animation.
Some texture lifted from the sinister mirrored mask of Vidocq.
My second attempt at animation is a bandwidth monster and only made a brief appearance.
